When Blazes’ professional central heating engineers arrive, they will be thoroughly prepared for the installation after liaising with the Blazes surveyor.
They will:
Central heating boiler exchange
The process of work involved in a Boiler Exchange includes these stages:
- A chemical cleaner is added to the system and flushed out.
- The existing boiler, along with all tanks and cylinders are disconnected and removed.
- The new boiler is fitted at the chosen site and reconnected to all supply services. Where appropriate a new gas supply is extended from the gas meter.
- If new valves are being fitted this will be done while the system is being drained.
- The central heating system is refilled and an inhibitor agent is added to the circuit - this prevents a build up of contamination and debris.
- The central heating boiler is commissioned to ensure correct operation.
- The radiators are checked for performance and leaks on the pipe joints and valves.
- Where necessary the system is ‘balanced’ ensuring an even performance across the central heating system.
- Finally a wireless Radio Frequency room thermostat or programmer is connected to the system and sited at the client's preferred location.
Complete central heating system installation
To fully understand the central heating installation process, Blazes offers a step-by-step guide:
- The new boiler is fitted at the chosen site and reconnected to all supply services. Where appropriate, a new gas supply is extended from the gas meter.
- Radiators, complete with new valves, are fitted in the agreed locations and are connected to the central heating boiler using a combination of 15mm and 22mm copper pipe.
- If new valves are being fitted this will be done while the system is being drained.
- The system is refilled and an inhibitor agent is added to the circuit. This prevents a build up of contamination and debris.
- The boiler is commissioned to ensure correct operation.
- The radiators are checked for performance and leaks on the valves and pipe joints.
- Where necessary the central heating system is ‘balanced’ ensuring an even performance.
- Finally, a wireless Radio Frequency room thermostat, or programmer, is connected to the central heating system and sited at the client's preferred location.
On completion
- Once the central heating installation is completed the engineers fill in all the necessary paperwork and notification of the installation to ‘Gas Safe’.
- They will fully, and comprehensibly, demonstrate all operational aspects of the central heating system and its control features. They will not leave until you are fully satisfied that you understand how to operate it.
- All old boilers, tanks, cylinders, radiators and pipes will be stacked neatly outside the property ready for removal.
- Within 14 days of the installation Blazes will send out confirmation of the exclusive extended warranties that come with all installations by Blazes Heating.
